Lesson 2: Chemistry Recap From Middle School
Isotopes | Valence Electrons
Isotopes - Atoms of the same element, but with a different number of neutrons.
Valence Electrons - number of electrons on the outer orbital of an atom. Chemists use them to help determine how they bond with other atoms.
Lewis Dot Structures - a visual representation of valence electrons and bonding between atoms. (Includes the element symbol and dots representing valence electrons)
Radioactivity - Energetic state of an atom where there are either too many or too little number of neutrons, thus making the atom unstable.
