Key Concepts:
Coriolis Effect - When objects or air masses, not fully connected to the ground, are deflected in directions based on the spin of the Earth.
It causes air masses and fluids to spin counterclockwise north of the equator and clockwise south of the equator.
This is because everything at the equator is spinning faster, relative to everything north and south of the equator. Think about it. It’s a longer distance per rotation of the Earth.
Climate - the weather conditions prevailing in an area in general or over a long period.
