YOU ARE DESIGNING A VEHICLE.  Here are the tools found on the storm chaser vehicles.  Use this information to DRAW, LABEL, and DESCRIBE all the components of your vehicle.  Put the definitions/descriptions next to your instrument pictures.

Barometer:  Tool used to measure Air Pressure 

Anemometer:  Tool used to measure Wind Speed

​Hygrometer:  Tool used to measure Humidity

​Meteorologist:  Person who studies weather by observing and making inferences as to what weather should do in the future

Rain gauge:  Tool used to measure rain amounts

Snow gauge:  Tool used to measure snow amounts

Thermometer:  Tool used to measure temperature of the air

Weather balloon:  Has instruments to measure weather at different heights

Weather map:  How we plot out the way weather is moving.  Weather stations produce measurements with similar weather tools all over the world.

Weather satellite:  Produces images based on the information gathered by weather tools

Weather station:  Place where you gather meteorological data 

Wind vane:  Measures weather direction

Monitor/Computer:  Displays satellite data for Chasers to analyze and use to severe weather
